As reported by Ian James, Los Angeles Times writer, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California lifted the emergency conservation mandate for portions of Los Angeles, Ventura, and San Bernardino counties. Reservoir levels in California have increased and "eased a severe shortage that emerged during the state's driest three-year period on record". With record rainfall and snowfall this winter in California, there remains water conservations concerns because of the longstanding drought on the Colorado River and its depleted reservoirs. More to come.
